4 Babymoon Ideas
Whether this is your first baby, your second, or your third, a babymoon is always a good idea to enjoy some alone time with your significant other before your new addition arrives.
Before deciding on a destination, be sure to consult with your doctor to make sure you and your baby are safe to travel. If your healthcare provider has no restrictions, then you’re free to roam as you, please. If, however, your doctor wants you to play it safe, there are still options for you to get away.
Here are some destination ideas for either scenario.
Cold and Cozy
There’s nothing better than snuggling up next to your partner by a fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa and a warm blanket for some alone time and romance. There’s something about the weather being cold outside and being all snuggled up inside that feels nostalgic.
Enjoy a secluded vacation home or cabin away from it all, like Zion National Park Lodging where you can get some quiet time before you bring your baby home. Soon you will be waking up to a crying baby and reminiscing about your winter wonderland getaway.
Tropical
Escape the cooler months of winter to enjoy some sun and sand during the low season. Airfare also tends to be cheaper from mid-December through February, with the exception of the holidays of course.
An all-inclusive resort can not only help you save on lodging and food, but it can take the pressure off of leaving the resort for activities since so much is included.
Choosing a resort with easy access to the beach, on-site restaurants, and some adult nightlife that you can enjoy without having to walk too far on swollen ankles will make the trip that much more enjoyable.
Stay Close to Home
If you don’t feel comfortable traveling during pregnancy, then look no further than in your own state or city. Take advantage of that chic hotel you drive by on your way to work or downtown but never have a reason to stay.
Little things like a spa day at the hotel, a romantic dinner at the super lux, an on-site restaurant, or even ordering room service to enjoy quality time together can be just what you need to recharge.
If you live in a warmer state, lounging by the pool with a virgin Pina Colada will make you feel like you’re miles away from your own backyard.
Metropolitan
If shopping, museums, and Broadway shows are more your speed, New York City is a great place to get away and enjoy some of your favorite hobbies before you get too busy with your new baby.
A stroll down New York City’s famous Fifth Avenue will have you gawking at every store window, while museums like The Metropolitan Museum of Art can make you lose track of time.
Give in to your pregnancy cravings with a real New York-style pizza or Italian ice cream.
The point of a babymoon is to get away with your partner to enjoy some downtime with some self-care and do what you love before life gets hectic. No matter your budget, you don’t have to go big, you just have to go so that you can soak up every bit of last-minute “us time”.
