If you’re happy to go to one of the more touristy areas for wildlife then Loro Parque has to be on your list. This is the place to see if you’re an animal lover as they have jaguars, gorillas, flamingos, tigers, penguins, and practically any other animal you can think of on display, they also boast some great animal exhibitions.

If after all the sightseeing and walking you and your partner are feeling the heat and the hunger then you’ll definitely want to try out some of these top-notch restaurants the main tourists won’t know about and one of the truly best-hidden gems would have to be Tasca Tierras del Sur located at Granadilla de Abona. This restaurant is hard to find but when you do track it down be prepared for some of the most authentic Spanish food of your life, with dishes that include octopus, fried green peppers that are fresh from the local fields, and goat cheese dishes that are a staple of Tenerife life. This is my choice of restaurant for the perfect romantic meal to start or end your holiday.

If you’re after a more fine dining experience then I would recommend Rendez-vous Restaurant in the Golf del Sur area. With amazing views, live entertainment, and truly delectable food it is no wonder this is the most popular restaurant in the region and the countless 5-star reviews only bolster its reputation further.
